Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared a lighthearted moment while interacting with beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyaya Maha Abhiyan (PM-JANMAN) as he released the first installment of ₹540 crore to one lakh beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana - Gramin (PMAY-G) via video conferencing. During the interaction, PM Modi inquired about the impact of LPG cylinders on the daily lives of the beneficiaries and light-heartedly asked about the new dishes they might be preparing.
Addressing the beneficiaries, PM Modi emphasized the government's commitment to ensuring that no one is left out of its welfare schemes. The release of funds marks a significant step in advancing the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Gramin, aimed at providing affordable housing to rural beneficiaries. Interacting with one of the beneficiaries, PM Modi asked about the change LPG cylinder has brought to her daily life and asked “What new things you have learnt to prepare?
Seeing the beneficiary hesitating to reply, PM Modi quipped, “Koi achchhi cheez banate ho toh batao, hum khane ke liye nahi aayenge aap chinta mat karo (If you cook some nice food then tell me, don't worry I won't come to eat).”
